According to Mzumbe University Students' Organization (MUSO) Constitution of 2009, under article 28,
The Organization is headed by the president who is elected democratically by the students of Mzumbe University. The President is elected with his or her running mate who after winning the presidential sit becomes his or her Vice President. The vice President is the principal assistant to the President in respect to all maters, Also, The Vice President assists the President in making follow up on day to day activities of the Organization's plans and programs.
According to article 29 of Mzumbe University Students' Organization (MUSO) Constitution of 2009, the President has the following roles;
APPOINTING
The President appoints the Prime Minister with the approval of the SRC, Ministers, Principle Secretaries, Members of the Arbitration Board, Chief Clerk, Representatives to Directorates/Institutions of the University, Disabled Members to the Students' Representatives Council.
SUPERVISING
The President supervises implementation of the decisions made by the Students' Representatives Council (SRC).
COORDINATING
The President is the link of the Organization and the University Management.
TENURE OF THE PRESIDENT
The President's tenure ceases after one year of his or her service.
